What schools need
Classrooms, corridors, halls, toilets and staff rooms all see heavy daily use. Cleaning must be thorough, consistent and fitted around the timetable and holiday periods.
How we work
We agree a written specification with the school business manager or premises team, plan visits around the school day, and can carry out deep cleans during holidays.
Holiday deep cleans
School holidays are the ideal time for deep cleaning of floors, carpets, windows and washrooms so the building is ready for the new term.
Who we deal with
For schools and nurseries we normally work with the business manager, bursar or premises lead. They know which rooms are used when, where equipment can be stored and which areas need extra attention, such as early years toilets or food areas. That conversation shapes the written specification. A premises enquiry should distinguish pupil rooms from the spaces used by employees. Explain where the staff kitchen is, which corridors carry the busiest routes and whether any hall serves several activities. The business manager’s knowledge of the timetable is useful when identifying areas needing regular attention.
Term time and holidays
During term, regular visits keep classrooms, corridors and washrooms in order without disrupting lessons. Holidays give a chance for heavier tasks: carpet cleaning, window cleaning and exterior work such as clearing paths and entrances. Planning those in advance means the building is ready when pupils return. A holiday clean is an opportunity to discuss work that differs from the term-time routine. Identify carpeted rooms, glazing and outside approaches in advance so the request is clear. It should not be assumed that every periodic task is included in the same arrangement as ordinary classroom cleaning.
A family business you can reach
Jason and Lucas Prior run Direct Cleaning Services themselves, so the person you speak to on the phone is the person responsible for the work. Our hours are 8am to 6pm, and a site visit comes before any quote. For an education building with several wings or entrances, describe how they are used rather than relying on a total floor area. The people managing the premises can point out the rooms that must be available first when pupils return. That practical conversation supports a specification grounded in the actual setting.
