The areas we clean
Our work in healthcare premises covers the general, non-clinical parts of the building: receptions and waiting rooms, corridors and stairs, offices and admin rooms, staff rooms and kitchens, washrooms, and the carpets, hard floors and windows throughout. Outside, paths, entrances and car parks can be pressure washed so the approach to the building feels looked after. Clinical rooms, treatment areas and any cleaning governed by clinical procedures stay with your own trained staff or a specialist clinical provider. Exactly which rooms are in scope is agreed with you before any work begins, and written into the specification so there is no doubt on either side.
Care homes
A care home is someone's home first. Lounges, dining rooms, corridors, offices and visitor areas are in use throughout the day, so cleaning is planned with the home manager around mealtimes, activities and visiting. Visits are arranged so the work happens quietly around residents, and the routine can shift on days when particular rooms are needed for an event or a family gathering. Periodic work, such as carpet cleaning in lounges and corridors, scrubbing hard floors or cleaning windows, can be booked alongside the regular visits rather than squeezed into them.
GP, dental and other practices
Surgeries and practices are busiest when patients are booked in. Waiting rooms, reception desks, chairs, door handles and patient toilets are used constantly, while staff rooms and offices carry the load behind the scenes. We agree a written specification with the practice manager listing each area and how often it is cleaned, and plan visits around clinic sessions within our 8am to 6pm hours. Anything outside those hours can be discussed at the site visit. Physiotherapy, optician and other private clinics can be covered in the same way.
Working with your manager
We work with the practice manager, home manager or facilities lead, who knows which rooms are in use when, where cleaning equipment can be stored and any building rules our team needs to follow, such as signing in or keeping certain doors closed. Before quoting, Jason or Lucas visits the premises and walks round with them. If your organisation already has cleaning schedules or product requirements for its non-clinical areas, share them and we will agree how they fit into the specification.
Floors, carpets and windows
Healthcare buildings often mix carpeted offices with vinyl or safety flooring in corridors and washrooms. Hard floors can be deep scrubbed through our hard floor cleaning, and carpets in waiting areas and offices extraction cleaned through our commercial carpet cleaning, with routes planned so the building stays usable while the work is done. Commercial window cleaning keeps glazing and entrance doors clear, inside and out, which makes a difference to how bright a waiting room feels.
Insurance and putting things right
We hold public liability insurance up to £10,000,000. If a visit falls short of what was agreed, tell us and it will be put right; our cleaners will not leave until you are happy. As a family business run by Jason and Lucas Prior, you can raise anything directly with the people responsible for the work by calling 07774 252535.
