Regular or event-based cleaning
Some buildings need a steady routine, such as a weekly clean before Sunday services or several visits a week for a busy community centre. Others need cleaning around particular occasions: after a wedding, funeral or christening, before a fete or a private hire, or at the start of a new season of groups and clubs. We can set up a regular schedule, book one-off cleans or combine the two, with visits arranged within our 8am to 6pm hours. If the calendar changes, the arrangement can change with it.
Halls, kitchens and toilets
Halls host toddler groups, exercise classes, clubs, parties and meetings, and the floor takes the brunt of it. Floors are swept and mopped, with periodic deep scrubs of vinyl, wood-effect or tiled surfaces through our hard floor cleaning. Kitchens are cleaned so the next group finds worktops, sinks, cupboard fronts and appliances ready to use, and toilets are cleaned and sanitised, with hand soap and paper put out from the building's own supplies if you want. Stacking chairs and folding tables can be wiped down as part of the routine.
Older and listed buildings
Many churches and some village halls are old, and a few are listed. Historic stonework, timber, brass, stained glass and old floors call for a gentle approach: mild products, low moisture and no harsh scrubbing on delicate surfaces. Where something looks fragile or valuable, we ask before touching it, and anything that needs a conservator is left well alone. If your building has guidance from the diocese, a heritage body or its own records, share it with us so the cleaning follows it.
Outside the building
Paths, steps and entrances can be pressure washed to clear moss and algae, which matters where older or less steady visitors use them, with the method matched to the surface. Gutters can be cleared with our high-reach vacuum and camera, useful on buildings with long roof runs and mature trees nearby. Windows can be cleaned through our commercial window cleaning service, with care taken around older frames and leaded lights.
Who we deal with
Church and community buildings are often run by volunteers, so we keep things simple. We work with the church warden, verger, hall committee or booking secretary, who knows the calendar of services, groups and hires. Jason or Lucas visits the building, walks round with them and agrees a written list of the areas to be cleaned and how often. Changes to the booking pattern can be agreed with a phone call to 07774 252535.
Carpets and meeting rooms
Carpeted vestries, meeting rooms, aisles and children's corners collect dust and spills like any other floor. They can be vacuumed on routine visits and extraction cleaned now and then, ideally in a quieter week so the carpet has time to dry before the next service or booking. We hold public liability insurance up to £10,000,000, and if a visit is not right, tell us and it will be put right.
